The Word of the Day is: buffoon. This is not to be confused with any of several large terrestrial African and Asian monkeys of the family Cercopithecidae, especially of the genus Papio or Chaeropithecus and related genera, characterized by an elongated, doglike muzzle, a short tail, and bare calluses on the buttocks. Undoubtedly, many people would qualify for both roles.

It's been two weeks since my last update - so much for diligence this month, huh...?

Over the last week or so, a few things have changed in the workplace. To start off with, I was put into training to take on a first-level HelpDesk role - yay me! This would mean five days a week working HelpDesk, instead of three an the other two working in IMAC.

Wait! Hold that thought! Now that I've started my training, things have changed again, and I'm going back to the 3/2 work-week, starting next week.

Oh, wait - now it's not next week, but perhaps the one after that... for the time being. I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow. I thought I'd finally have a desk to call my own, but alas...

Odd thing this year - my Hallowe'en spirit seems to be lacking, plain 'n' simple. Is it just me, or do the ornaments and other goodies just suck this year?? Good thing my brother's living here now, else there'd be no decorations put up!

I finally got around to picking up my Victoria/Vancouver/Seattle pics. Now I just need to conjure up the time and wherewithal to update the expeditions page. I've been needing to do that for quite a while now, really... as far as the site goes, lately I've been about as useful as tits on a bull.

It's been a week and a half since going to Edmonton for Assemblage23... was pretty good, although the vocals could use some work. Perhaps he was just having an off- night? Ah well, I was in good company - Colin and I played quite a bit of pool (I even lost on the break on our first game!), and I had a lot of fun visiting with Rachel, Justin and Nicky.

I have a wedding to go to this weekend - for someone I'd never thought to have been getting married... guess it happens to the best of us.
