I just love little surprises - like finding out about someone 'new' who actually reads my journal! Now, I'm not saying that they've read it often - I don't even know if it's been more than once - but to have people come check out my tiny spot on the web makes me feel that at least part of this site's purpose is being realized.
Some information was sent to me via e-mail today that I feel is very important to pass on:
I was wondering if any of you have heard about this before?
As we all know, the Taliban considers it a sin for a man to see a naked woman who is not his wife.
So, this Saturday at 2:00 PM Pacific Standard time all Canadian women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort. All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their house to prove they are not Taliban, demonstrate that they think it's okay to see nude women other than their wife and to show support for all Canadian women. And since the Taliban also does not approve of alcohol, a cold six-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-Taliban sentiment.
The Canadian Government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity. God bless Canada!
IT IS YOUR PATRIOTIC DUTY!
I fully support this initiative, and urge everyone to participate. Let's all chip in on this small effort to make Canada - indeed, the world - a safer place to live!
Oh, I am so procrastinating... I don't want to do my self-evaluation/year-end review. They want me to list my accomplishments for the year. What to put? "I maintained my sanity"? I'm not even sure that would fly... it just doesn't seem like I accomplished anything this year. Had a lot of work, and kept busy? Yes. Actually accomplished something? No.
I think I'll go pick lint off of my sweater now...
